The mammoth was an animal of the elephant family. It were very large and huge and it weighed from 6 to 8 tones. The mammoth had much and long hair recovering his skin and they had long curved tusks. They could survive in very cold sites (-20oC).
The gestation of the mammoths were very long; around 22 months. They were herbivores.
